One Year Anniversary

One year ago on September 5th Kreed and I were sealed together in the Idaho Falls, Idaho temple. It is the best decision I have ever made. After being married to Kreed for a year I believe more than ever that he was the perfect man for me. Although we are similar in many ways, we are definitely opposites in many other ways. If you know the color code for personalities, Kreed is mostly red and I am mostly white. This actually works out great because when he likes things to be done a certain way I could care less as long as it makes everyone happy. We absolutely love to be goofy and have fun. Over the last year we have been keeping ourselves very busy with school and work. Kreed has been working full time at Broulim's while off track and then practically full time while going to school in winter and spring. This is because in order for us to keep our health insurance through Broulim's he has to average 30 hours a week. Needless to say, he gets worn out pretty fast. I will be graduating this coming April with a Bachelor's in Exercise Science and minor in Medical Assisting. My goal is to get my CMA (certified medical assistant) and work full time so that Kreed doesn't have to and he can focus on school. Kreed is about half way done with his undergrad in biology. He is hoping to go to Optometry school as soon as he can. So as for now, we are here in Rexburg preparing to survive the upcoming winter.

Fun Summer

This was my very first trip to Yellowstone National Park (at least that I can remember). I was really amazing and we had a great time aside from the fact that I felt like throwing up the whole time. I had just come down with Mono the same weekend. I thought I was going to make it until we were on our way home. I was able to open the door and get my head out just in time to keep Kort's car clean. I was so miserable that I missed the whole next week of school.

This is Kelti and her two boys Tasen and Blais. My only two nephews... for now.

We love camping. Almost as much as we love water skiing. And apparently Kort loves smores.

This is how the Bowmans get ready to watch a Boise State football game. More food than all 14 1/2 of us can eat in two sittings. I love pregnant Mel coming back with seconds; or is it thirds? :)

This is my newest niece, Ellis. She is almost eight months and still bald.
She is the funnest baby I have every met. 80% of her day is spent laughing at everything in sight. Way too cute for words. I sure miss baby Ellis now that they have moved away to Pocatello.

This is my nephew Blais having "fun" with his uncle Kreed. He asks for it every time :) but he secretly loves it. As most of you know, the majority of our summer is spent at the lake having fun in the sun.

Hoover Dam

I know this was a year ago but I thought it would be fun to put some pictures up. This was when Kreed's family came down to Vegas for our second reception. We all decided to go down to the Hoover Dam and explore. Needless to say we had a blast. I am so grateful for all of my in-laws. I couldn't have asked to marry into a more wonderful family.

Engagement and Wedding

Here is the short version of our engagement and marriage. Kreed and I met on October 8, 2008 at the weekly Swing Dancing held on campus. We immediately hit it off and went on out first date withing an hour of meeting. After that night we were almost inseparable. We had lots of fun learning how to swing dance, watching movies, and playing games and going water skiing with his family. We dated on and off for about 10 months before he finally proposed. Kreed proposed on July 23, 2009. That night Kreed came to pick me up for our weekly dance with a bouqet of my favorite flowers (white tulips). I did not expect this was going to be the night because the stinker told me that the ring would be ready the next day. After dancing we went back to my apartment to just relax. He reminded me that we forgot to go sit by the temple that night like we usually did before he took me home. We went up and parked in the temple parking lot. All of a sudden he asked me to dance. So he rolled down the window so we could still hear the music and we danced in the moonlight to our song. When the song ended, he dipped me romantacly and then knelt on one knee. He proposed and of course I cried and could barely speak my answer. We went back to my apartment to see how long it would take my roommates to figure it out. I practically had to wave my hand their face, but when they saw the ring they did as all roommates do; they screamed and jumped up and down. Oh the fun of roommates.

We wanted to get married before I started school again in the fall so our engagement ended up only being 6 weeks long. I took off my last week of EFY and my mom came up to help me plan. In one week my mom and I (and Kreed) were able to get my wedding dress, the announcements, flowers, and engagement pictures. Kreed's mom and sisters helped me with all the little details of the Rexburg reception and my mom covered the Vegas reception. Kreed and I went to Vegas two weeks before we got married so I could take my endowments out in the Las Vegas temple. The day finally came, and we got married on September 5, 2009 surrounded by our friends and family in the house of the Lord.

We have now been married for almost 5 months, we are living in his parents basement for a little while, both going to school and working. We are so happy and love to be silly all the time. Thank you to everyone who has supported us throughout our lives.
